Print Production Operator & Finishing

 

Cheque Print Solutions Inc. is a leading manufacturer of laser and manual business cheques in Canada and US.  We are located in Calgary, Alberta. Print Wow  is our custom printing division.  This new Design/Print Production Operator & Finishing position will work directly with our customers’ vision from Creation to Design to Print.  A thorough understanding and experience in print production and commercial digital print production is mandatory, as well as a strong skill level in design and Adobe products.

POSITION DETAILS:

 

Time Management:

 

  • Managing your day to meet business, customer and personal deadlines

  • Efficiently and accurately finishing jobs to meet the customers’ needs

  • Communicating effectively with your team on timelines and deadlines

  • Managing and producing new and repeat orders for customers in a fast-paced digital print environment

  • Graphic design work in a limited capacity will be necessary, however this position consists mainly of managing digital files from production to finishing.

  • Graphic Design degree would be an asset.

  • Working with the team in the Cheque Production division.  Training will be available.

 

Organizational Skills

 

  • Understanding your workload and prioritizing the order of operations.

  • Ability to customer manage and file manage current, pending and finished orders according to office procedures.

 

Professionalism:

 

  • Professionalism and customer service are what makes Cheque Print and Print Wow successful.  Emails, phone calls and customer communication must always be conducted in a professional manner.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Strong spoken and written skills in English

  • 1-2 years’ experience in pre-production and post-production

  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or other design products. Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign considered an asset

  • An eye for detail and deadline driven

  • Ability to multi-task

  • An independent self-starter and thinker

  • Enjoy working with the public

 

Job Details:

 

  • Full time – permanent position

  • Monday – Friday 9 am- 5 pm

  • Salary range $50-$55K

  • 3 weeks paid vacation per year

  • 6 paid flex days (1 every 2nd month

  • $2000 yearly health spending account allowance

  • Your birthday is always a paid Cheque Print Day off!

  • Free parking

  • South East location
