I came across this article on Harvard Business Review that lays out some great tips for increasing productivity. Some of the points are a bit controversial – for instance, napping at work. While I’ve never seriously considered doing so, there is strong evidence that links power naps (anywhere from 10-30 minutes) to a boost in awareness and productivity.
